The Result

Two years as their web team

A reliable, high-quality web partnership that let Datafold's marketing team scale their presence and focus on growth. Over two-plus years I delivered landing pages, resource hubs, and custom company pages on top of a reusable Client-First component system — an extension of their team, not a vendor they had to manage.

The Engagement

Embedded, not outsourced

Datafold, a fast-growing data-reliability company, had no in-house web resources to keep pace with their marketing. For over two years I served as an extension of their team — building and shipping alongside their campaigns, learning the product deeply enough to write and structure pages in their voice, and moving fast without constant oversight.

Phase 1

A reusable component system

The foundation was a new component system on the Webflow site, built with the Figma Client-First (Finsweet) methodology — the same class and structure standard I used on Notarize. Predictable naming, no style bloat, and modular components meant every new landing page was assembled from a shared system rather than hand-built, so quality stayed consistent and production stayed fast.

Landing and product pages assembled from the shared Client-First component library.

Phase 2

Landing pages, resource hubs & the blog

On top of the component system I built high-converting, focused landing pages and the resource hubs and blog that carry Datafold's content — each structured for conversion with a clear single CTA rather than trying to serve every audience at once. Technical SEO ran alongside the builds, keeping the growing page count clean and crawlable.

Reflections

What I Learned

1

A component system is the real deliverable

Any single landing page is disposable; the system that produces them is not. Building on Client-First meant the tenth page took a fraction of the effort of the first, and every page inherited the same quality bar automatically.

2

Domain fluency accelerates everything

Data infrastructure has its own vocabulary. Investing early in understanding Datafold's product and audience paid back in faster production, tighter copy, and far fewer revision cycles.

3

Reliability is a competitive advantage

An embedded partner earns trust by executing without needing to be managed. Showing up consistently over two years was worth as much to Datafold as any individual build.

4

Focused landing pages out-convert comprehensive ones

A well-structured page with a single CTA consistently beat a page trying to serve every audience. Constraint, not completeness, is what makes a landing page convert.
